Dr. Unadkat received his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a Master’s degree in health administration and policy from New York University. He completed his emergency medicine training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he was chief resident. He served as the assistant emergency medicine residency director and is an assistant professor at a major medical school in the New York area. Dr. Unadkat has spent more than 10 years caring for patients in various settings including: urgent care, observation units, free-standing ERs, academic trauma centers, and community hospitals. He is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is currently the chairman of a major emergency department in New Jersey.
